The ‘Farley Fly-By’ cocktail is back
Madison’s Palette Bar & Grill is bringing back the “Farley Fly-By” this spring, a colorful cocktail made with sustainably farmed honey from the Farley Center in Verona.
The Farley Fly-By is described as a cross between a bee’s knees and an aviation cocktail, which combines into a gin-based drink that is floral and slightly sweet. It also features a color-changing butterfly pea extract to give off a bright purple appearance, and can be served without alcohol upon request.
There will be a cocktail hour to celebrate the launch of the Farley Fly-By from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at Palette Bar & Grill. With every purchase of Farley Fly-Bys during the event, a portion of sales will go toward the Farley Center’s Beekeeping Program.
According to Palette Bar & Grill General Manager Bobby Gunther, the Farley Fly-By has been a top-selling drink since its release four years ago. The cocktail requires anywhere from eight to 10 gallons of Farley Center honey each season.
