First year of the Chippewa Valley Bee Expo
CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) - Lots of busy bees gathering at the state fairgrounds to kick spring into full gear at the first Chippewa Valley Bee Expo.
With more than 40 vendors attending, the new annual family event is dedicated to educating members of the community about pollinators and natural living practices.
There were also demonstrations and presentations on a wide range of topics focused on sustainability, encouraging pollinators and using the products produced by honeybees.
Executive director for the bee expo, Galen Kalislewicz, explained the importance of educating people.
“So we think we have enough vendors and enough different ideas out there that people should be able to come here and learn something about saving the pollinators and saving the bees, and doing good with nature, not destroying nature.” he said.
In case you missed it this year, the bee expo is already set for next spring on April 11 and 12, 2026.
