First-Ever Chippewa Valley Bee Expo Slated For Saturday, April 12
Have you heard the buzz? The inaugural Chippewa Valley Bee Expo kicks off at 9am on Saturday, April 12, at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds. The new event promises dozens of live demonstrations, presentations, raffles, and more from 9am-4pm, emceed by longtime local journalist Keith Edwards.
With over 40 vendors and a variety of demonstrations slated for the one-day event, there will be plenty to check out for folks of all ages. The Bee Expo’s main stage will host presentations including “Flowering Lawns: Creating a Pollinator-Friendly Property,” a presentation by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and “I Wanna Be a Beekeeper” from Eau Claire-based Kaiserson Honey’s Drew Kaiser.

A dedicated “Cooking with Honey” demonstration area will also host a variety of presentations, including tastings, informational appearances on topics like making soap with honey, sweet and sour chicken with honey, infusing beef tallow, and more.
“Our Expo covers a range of topics including pollinators, healthy living, and living without harm to the environment,” said Galen Klisiewicz, president of nonprofit organization Chippewa Valley Bee Expo. “The Expo will be fun and interesting to people of all ages and backgrounds, and it’s all part of our commitment to encourage sustainable practices that benefit both people and nature.”
Tickets are still up for grabs – $15/adult, free for those ages 12 and under – online, and can be purchased at Blain’s Farm and Fleet in Chippewa Falls, Festival Foods locations in Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls, and Hauzuga’s True Value Hardware in Stanley.
