Ca n'Andreu des Trull, a beautiful space located in San Carlos, hosts a Free Beekeeping Workshop, an exceptional opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of bees and honey production in Ibiza.
The workshop will be taught by Vicent Marí Torres, renowned beekeeper and president of the Ibiza Beekeepers Association. With a distinguished career in beekeeping, Vicent has dedicated years to preserving and promoting the island's beekeeping traditions.
He is the author of several works, including “Ibizan beekeeping lexicon“, a compilation of Ibizan beekeeping slang, and “The Honey of Ibiza“, where he explores the characterization and reputation of Ibiza honey.
During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to explore beekeeping tools, with a detailed explanation and demonstration of the handling of essential instruments in beekeeping practice by Vicent.
In addition, you will be able to taste a tasting of different honeys produced in Ibiza, to learn to appreciate their unique nuances and flavors.
The event is the Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Ca n'Andreu des Trull, a 18th-century farmhouse which has been restored to showcase traditional rural life in Ibiza and houses a museum collection of agricultural utensils and typical island furniture.
