Brazilian honey and bee products gain market access in Israel
The Brazilian government has secured approval from Israel’s sanitary authorities for a new International Sanitary Certificate (ISC), enabling exports of honey and related bee products, including royal jelly, pollen, propolis, and beeswax.
In the last two years, Brazil’s exports of honey and bee products have surpassed US$196 million. The apiculture sector has flourished, driven by new trade partnerships and reinforced ties with existing markets.
In 2024, Israel imported about US$442 million in Brazilian agricultural goods, led by beef, soybeans, cereals, and coffee.
With this development, Brazilian agribusiness marks its 29th market assess in 2025, bringing the total to 329 new trade opportunities since the start of 2023.
These achievements reflect the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
