Beekeeping, a supported and potential sector

In "Mother Teresa" square, in Pristina, the "Beekeeping Fair" was opened today, under the organization of the League of Kosovo Beekeepers and with the financial support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development.

At the opening of this fair, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Vezir Januzi, gave a speech.

He said that this fair is one more opportunity to promote this sector that has a lot of potential in Kosovo. Januzi mentioned the support that the MAFRD has given over the years but also this year, stressing that it is the largest support given in the region for this sector.

Deputy Minister Januzi said that the support will increase next year, both in terms of grants and subsidies.

On the other hand, leaders of the Association of Beekeepers appreciated the development of this sector so far and the support provided by the MAFRD. They said that more work should be done in the advancement of this sector in general. /Telegraph/
